The twenty-four member Deacon Board of First Baptist Church is made up of both male and female deacons.  The role of the deacon is that of spiritual leadership through service to God, the church body and the lost.  Each family in the church has a family deacon who is there for prayer support and visiting, especially when there is sickness and special concerns.  Deacons also visit prospective members to follow-up on their visits, share information about our church, and invite them to become members of our church family.
