What is Team Ministry? The basic concept behind Team Ministry is to break down a particular ministry into several components or teams. Each team represents a particular aspect of the larger ministry. Purpose of Team Ministry ü God has given each and every person talents to use in his Kingdom. For this reason, Team Ministry facilitates an opportunity to empower believers to use their talents and interest to serve his kingdom. ü Disperse the various responsibilities of the Youth Ministry amongst all participants. Thereby creating a sense of ownership amongst participants.
The Breakdown ü Each student and adult will have the opportunity to join one team. Participants are only allowed to be a part of one team. Participants will join a team at the beginning of each school year. However, new participants will join a team upon arrival. ü Participants should choose a team based off of ones interest and talents. Participants should not choose a team because of popularity or by what their friends have selected. ü Each team will consist of both students and adults. Each team will disperse responsibility equally amongst members. Please remember every team member has a say in decisions. ü Participants are not permitted to change or switch groups. All team exchanges must be brought to Student Minster. ü Each team will be responsible for their particular task and ministry. Remember each team is unit of the Student Ministry as a whole. Therefore each team must fulfill their particular task in order for the Student Ministry to function properly. All Team visions and responsibilities are listed on the next page. ü Have fun and be creative. No one ever said that things have to be done in any particular way. ü Remember whatever decisions made or task attempted should be done for the glory of God and for the best interest of the Student Ministry. ü Team Leader Meetings??? ü Teams will meet once a month, on the first Sunday of every month. o 2008-2009 Meeting Dates: § September 14 @ 4:00 § October 5 @ 4:00 § November 2 @ 4:00 § December ???? § January 4 @ 4:00 § March 1 @ 4:00 § April 5 @ 5:00
